Margo received her Nurse Practitioner Certificate from the University of Pennsylvania. She has been working in the field of women’s health care for over twenty years and moved to the Kansas City area in 1993. Her areas of special interest include bladder disorders and post menopausal hormone replacement therapy. She performs Urodynamic evaluations, assists patients in their pelvic floor rehabilitation programs and performs yearly comprehensive gynecologic care. Margo is also the center’s research coordinator. Margo is married with two children, Steve and Dan, plus two grandchildren. Her hobbies include sewing, stitchery and symphonic music.
Nancy is the newest member to our family. She comes to us with over twenty-five years of nursing experience, and she has earned a Master’s degree in counseling psychology and a Master’s of Science degree in Nursing. Nancy is a nationally certified Nurse Practitioner, specializing in women’s health. She has particular interests in menopausal issues, osteoporosis prevention and breast cancer prevention. She has two children – a son and a daughter. We are very fortunate to have her join our practice.
Sue has been a Registered Nurse for nearly 40 years. She has assisted in many urological surgeries and has also worked as an office nurse in OB/GYN and urology practices. Her past experience has made her an invaluable asset to the office. Her calming nature and wealth of knowledge are comforting to patients. She is married with two adorable daughters.
Keli came to us straight out of medical assistant school and she has hit the ground running in our highly specialized office. She assists Margo and Nancy by rooming patients, getting their vitals, stocking rooms, ordering supplies and also assists Dr. Butrick when needed. She is married with two energetic daughters.
Helen began her career in the medical field in 1989. Starting as a front desk clerk and working her way up to Business Supervisor of a large, multi-physician practice, she became Practice Manager of The Urogynecology Center in 2003. Helen is a member of Greater Kansas City Medical Managers Association and Medical Group Managers Association. Helen is married. She has two children – a daughter and a son. She also has two grandsons.
Tammy joined to us from a large health care system. Her wealth of experience has also become invaluable to us. Her main responsibility is scheduling, however she is very knowledgeable in all aspects of the front office. She schedules all office visits, any surgical procedures, imaging and handles all medical records requests. Tammy also obtains any necessary pre-certifications. Tammy doesn’t have any trouble switching to checking in patients or backing up the phones. She can also fill in and assist with examinations. She has one beautiful daughter.
Melanie is from a large healthcare system. She will greet you at the front desk and make sure we have obtained your current information. Melanie will also follow up with your insurance to make sure your claims are paid in a timely manner. She is an excellent patient advocate. Her credentials are impressive and we are grateful to have her.
Karen came to us from a different specialty office, an orthopedic practice. Her main responsibilities include reviewing claims prior to submission, batching claims for the clearinghouse, keeping us up to date on coding changes, answering the telephone and patient balances.
