Margaret “Margo” Sanford

APRN, WHNP

Margo received her Nurse Practitioner Certificate from the University of Pennsylvania. She has been working in the field of women’s health care for over twenty years and moved to the Kansas City area in 1993. Her areas of special interest include bladder disorders and post menopausal hormone replacement therapy. She performs Urodynamic evaluations, assists patients in their pelvic floor rehabilitation programs and performs yearly comprehensive gynecologic care. Margo is also the center’s research coordinator. Margo is married with two children, Steve and Dan, plus three grandchildren. Her hobbies include sewing, stitchery and symphonic music.

Latasha Reed

APRN, WHNP

Latasha is a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, and the newest member of the Urogynecology Center team!  Her Baccalaureate degree was completed in 2004 at the University of Kansas – School of Nursing and she received her Masters of Science in Nursing (Women’s Health Specialty) from the University of Missouri – Kansas City in 2015.  She holds dual licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in both Kansas & Missouri and is board certified by the National Certification Corporation (NCC).  Latasha’s passion for Women’s Health is evidenced by her more than 10-year nursing career as a Labor & Delivery staff RN, including experience as both a travel nurse and Obstetrical nursing clinical instructor.  Latasha is married to a wonderfully supportive husband and is the proud mother of a rambunctious daughter.  She enjoys dancing, traveling, and working-out via Jazzercise!

Helen M. Quilty

Office Manager

Helen began her career in the medical field in 1989. Almost 30 years ago she started as a front desk assistant and worked her way up to Business Supervisor of a large, multi-physician practice, she became Practice Manager of The Urogynecology Center in 2003 when Dr. Butrick opened his own private practice. Helen is a member of Greater Kansas City Medical Managers Association and Medical Group Managers Association. She is married with two children – a daughter and a son. She also has two grandsons and a grand-daughter. Her hobbies include sewing, baking and entertaining family and friends.

Susan “Sue” Ingram

RN, CNOR

Sue has been a Registered Nurse for over 40 years. She has assisted in many urological surgeries and has also worked as an office nurse in OB/GYN and urology practices. Her past experience has made her an invaluable asset to the office. Her calming nature and wealth of knowledge are comforting to patients. She is married with two adorable daughters.

Mary Rosinski

Medical Assistant

Mary practiced in a hospital setting for 10 years. Recently, she returned to the medical field after raising her children and caring for a family member. She has two daughters that are busy with school, sports and other activities. She enjoys working with the high school youth group at her church, mosaic crafts and ancestral research.

Keli Newman

Medical Assistant

Keli came to us straight out of medical assistant school and she has hit the ground running in our highly specialized office. She assists Margo and Latasha by rooming patients, getting their vitals, stocking rooms, ordering supplies and also assists Dr. Butrick when needed. She is married with three energetic daughters.

Ken Lester

Billing Supervisor

Ken is a valuable asset to the office. He is a certified coder and is responsible for building claims and overseeing the whole billing process. He makes sure that the insurance companies are paying what they are suppose to, saving you and the clinic money. His extensive rounded knowledge of the medical field helps with his claim processing. He’s situated at the front desk and is more than happy to discuss your insurance claims.

Candice Edagwa

Receptionist / Billing

Candice has over 11 years of office and healthcare experience, which she bring to The Urogynecology Center.  She graduated from Cameron University in 2009 with a Bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, concentrated work in Natural Science, Health & PE, plus Nutrition with a minor in Sports Medicine.  Most of her education is towards becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy.  Candice also comes from a wide variety of professional healthcare settings to include five and a half years working in the ER as an admissions coordinator/main admitting-referrals to physical therapy office coordinator with experience in billing, coding, compliance, pre-certs, customer service, verifying patient information and making sure efficiency is achieved through patient satisfaction and a warm welcome.  She also obtains certifications as a Certified Billing & Coding Specialist, Electronic Health Records Specialist and as a Medical Administrative Assistant professional.  Candice is married and we enjoy having her on our team.

Our mission at the Urogynecology Center is to provide the highest level of care possible for women with incontinence, pelvic pain and/or pelvic organ prolapse. We provide this care in an individualized and highly compassionate manner, always keeping the needs of the patient in the forefront.

Research Studies

TUC is involved in two research studies for the management of various types of pelvic pain. 1 involves the treatment of interstitial cystitis and the other involves a new therapeutic option for pelvic floor myofascial pain disorders.

Meet The Experts – 2016

Dr. B. has been asked to do to round table discussions “meet the experts” for the upcoming 2016 annual AUGS meeting. The topics he has been asked to discuss includes neurodiagnostic testing during the placement of InterStim and persistence of postoperative pain-identification and prevention.
