Meet Our Team

Margaret “Margo” Sanford


Margo received her Nurse Practitioner Certificate from the University of Pennsylvania. She has been working in the field of women’s health care for over twenty years and moved to the Kansas City area in 1993. Her areas of special interest include bladder disorders and post menopausal hormone replacement therapy. She performs Urodynamic evaluations, assists patients in their pelvic floor rehabilitation programs and performs yearly comprehensive gynecologic care. Margo is also the center’s research coordinator. Margo has two children, Steve and Dan, plus 4 grandchildren. Her hobbies include sewing, stitchery and symphonic music.


Ken Lester 

Practice Manager

Ken began working with Dr. Butrick in 2004. His background is in finance and he was a stockbroker for 11 years before changing careers into the medical field. Ken also has several certifications in the IT industry and stays current in computer technology. Ken is a black belt in Okinawan Kempo and teaches karate each week. He is very active in his local church where he teaches Sunday school classes and is member of their security team. Ken has been married for over 35 years. He and his wife have an English Setter that is a registered therapy dog who loves to visit retirement centers and hospitals.

Mary Ann Dolan 

Front office / Billing

Mary Ann has been with us since 2017. As our front office person, Mary Ann assists all of our patients in various aspects including scheduling, billing, and medical records. Mary Ann has worked in the medical field for over 10 years and she enjoys our patients like family. Mary Ann is a native of Kansas City and is involved in several organizations and enjoys doing community work through her local Elks Lodge. Her passion for food is off the chart, the hotter the better!

Helen M. Quilty 


Helen began her career in the medical field in 1989. Almost 30 years ago    she started as a front desk assistant and has been a business supervisor of a large, multi-physician practice. She started working at The Urogynecology Center in 2003 when Dr. Butrick opened his own private practice.  She is married with a daughter and a son and four grandchildren. Her hobbies include sewing, baking and entertaining family and friends.

Mary Broll, BSN 

Medical Assistant

Mary practiced in a hospital setting for over 10 years and returned to the medical field after raising her family and caring for a family member. She has been with us since 2013, assists with patient care and helps out at the front desk. Mary is married, enjoys mosaic crafts, ancestral research and traveling.


Our mission at the Urogynecology Center is to provide the highest level of care possible for women with incontinence, pelvic pain and/or pelvic organ prolapse. We provide this care in an individualized and highly compassionate manner, always keeping the needs of the patient in the forefront.

Dr. Butrick became an accredited Master Surgeon in Minimally Invasive Surgery. This accreditation demonstrates Dr. Butrick's  commitment and ability as a surgeon to consistently deliver the highest level of care possible and signifies that Dr. Butrick is among the best in his specialty.

Axionics – 2019

Dr. Butrick attended a meeting to provide input on a new device for sacral nerve stimulation from Axionics. This new device greatly reduces the size of a neuromodulation device battery to the approximate size of a quarter.
