Dr. Butrick became an accredited Master Surgeon in Minimally Invasive Surgery. This accreditation demonstrates Dr. Butrick’s commitment and ability as a surgeon to consistently deliver the highest level of care possible and signifies that Dr. Butrick is among the best in his specialty.
Dr. Butrick attended a meeting to provide input on a new device for sacral nerve stimulation from Axionics. This new device greatly reduces the size of a neuromodulation device battery to the approximate size of a quarter.
As a course faculty member, Dr. Butrick gave a presentation and updates in the field of urodynamics in Cancun, Mexico.
The International Pelvic Pain Society was held in Chicago this year and Dr. Butrick introduced the new SoLa therapy and laser device to approximately 400 pain specialists from around the country.
Dr. Butrick is appointed as the Chief Medical Officer of UroShape which is a new company with a specially designed laser to provide photobiomodulation therapy to the pelvis for patients with chronic pelvic pain. The device and therapy is called SoLa therapy.
Dr. Butrick taught courses on vulvar pain disorders at the annual Society of Urodynamics, Female Pelvic Medicine & Urogenital Reconstruction meeting. Dr. Butrick also did a seminar for the Kansas City area physical therapists on pelvic pain and new treatments for pelvic pain.
